Hotels Vs Airbnb

With Airbnb on the rise does that mean that hotels are no longer a thing? Well, hotels will never not be in fashion regardless of the influx of Airbnb. But, which one is the right one for you, that is the question?

Hotels

Hotels have been a staple of the tourism industry since everyone needs a place to stay. Even more so when they are traveling. Hotels factor in the rent of the location into their cost. But, major chains create a price that can meet their consumers’ demands. Unlike Airbnb hosts who can change their rent depending on what they see fit.

Hotels come with the standard get-up which includes beds, a bathroom, and a closet. Some may even have a television. Airbnb has that and more such as a kitchen and a living space. Therefore, if you are a large family then an Airbnb would be your best bet. But, if you are looking for a more chilled holiday where there are people who make your bed and clean up after you as well as service you breakfast either inhouse or directly to your room then a hotel would be the best place for you.

Plus, many hotels offer in-house advantages that are tailored to their guests only such as spas, pools, and some outdoor activities. Hotels are mostly seen as a high-end escape where people clean up after you. It is a chance for you to sit back and not think about what your next meal will be and how to cook it.

The advantage of a hotel is that you are catered to. And, many high-end hotels are based in major cities giving you a chance to explore the surrounding areas without the knowledge that you have to do chores and run errands when you get back. This is why many hotels are more expensive when compared to their Airbnb counterparts.

Not only do you have hotels in major cities but you also have some in more rural-like areas giving you space to breathe. However, all modern hotels have Wi-fi meaning that you can browse the net to find your next tourism spot or play online casino games for free if you so wish to. Or you can head down to play real-life slot machines if they are in the hotel.

Airbnb

As hinted at earlier, Airbnb is more like living in someone’s private property like a house or an apartment. They can decide the price of the rent. There are benefits to Airbnb if you have a big family since it is cheaper to rent out a house than a few hotel rooms. And, many Airbnb are in wonderful locations that are close to tourism spots. But, the downside is that it is a house or an apartment which means that you are not catered to. You have to clean up after yourself and cook your food or order take-away. You can hire a service to clean but that could be added to your cost.

But, you do have your own place, for a short while at least, where you do not share with other members of the building as you would with a hotel. This can give you an extra sense of privacy, while you enjoy your time away from your home within a home. And, it is not as expensive as hotels but then again it depends on where you go. Tourist hotspots can up their prices for Airbnb certainly when it is peak season. However, there are a few items that can be missing or not as close by when compared to staying in a hotel. Such as a spa, maybe even a pool, etc.

Closing Off

Hotels and Airbnb each offer different things depending on what you want. If you want to not do anything, and everything “fancy” close by then a hotel would be best. However, if you do not mind doing chores and want a bigger space then an Airbnb would do just fine.
